A Stevie Wonder Surprise

I am a sound and lighting designer for a company called JK Productions based in NJ. My most memorable event I worked on was actually on the big island of Hawaii. My company works for a band called Soul Street, from Total Entertainment and we flew out to Hawaii to do a wedding at a private residence. The view was amazing, but the best part of the wedding was the surprise guest. Our band took the stage and played for about 45 minutes into the party, then it was time for the first dance. The bride knew there were 2 bands booked but she had no idea who the second band was. The event planners told everyone that it was Dick Bright from San Francisco. The second band took the stage and started singing their wedding song, "My Cherie Amour" by Stevie Wonder. About half way through Stevie Wonder came walking out and finished the song. The groom had not only kept this a surprise from the bride, but he also kept it a surprise to all of the guests. Stevie Wonder then did an hour and a half set of classics that everyone enjoyed, especially me and the band I work with. This had to be the most memorable event I have ever worked on. Not only was it a great trip, it was also a great private concert.
