How to Attend a Wedding Show

I have been to several wedding shows as both a bridesmaid and a bride. Here are some tips that have helped me:

Things You'll Need

--Comfortable Shoes
--Adhesive labels
--Sturdy bag

Instructions

STEP 1: Search the internet before the show to see if you can find a discount coupon for the wedding show that you will be attending.

STEP 2: There are many contests to enter for free giveaways or discounts, so make it easy to enter by bringing adhesive address labels or make your own that include your Name, Address, Phone Number, Email Address and Wedding Date.

STEP 3: Wear comfortable shoes to the show since you will be doing a lot of walking and standing in place.

STEP 4: You will usually receive a lot of wedding magazines, flyers, cds, etc. So make sure that you have a sturdy bag to carry everything. Often you will receive a large shopping bag at the entrance, but you don't want to rely on that.

STEP 5: If you go to the show right when it opens, head to the back of the room so that you can avoid the line of people chatting with the vendors in the front.

STEP 6: Collect as much information as you can from the vendors to take home and review with your fiancé, bridesmaids, mom.

Overall Tips & Warnings

--If you need tuxedos, you can usually lock in a low price by making a refundable $10-$20 deposit with the tuxedo vendors at the wedding show.
--If you need to return to the wedding show later in the day, make sure you find out if you are allowed in-and-out privileges.
--Don't commit yourself to a vendor without having a chance to read over the information they provide carefully.
