How to Prepare for a Day of Wedding Gown Shopping
If you haven't yet set out on your quest for the perfect wedding dress, here are a few tips that will help you along your journey...
Things You'll Need
Shoes similar to what you might wear on your wedding day (Most commonly, High Heels)
A strapless bra
Someone who's opinion you trust
Instructions
STEP 1: Look through bridal magazines and/or bridal websites for ideas of dresses that you would like to try on.
STEP 2: Make an appointment at a local bridal shop in advance. It is best to avoid the weekend, since those days will be the busiest.
STEP 3: Bring your own bra and shoes with you to your appointment in case the bridal salon doesn't provide these items, or doesn't have your size.
STEP 4: Be open to try on dresses that you might not normally try on. You might be surprised at what actually looks good on you.
STEP 5: Get the opinion of the person that you bring with you to the shop. This second opinion is usually helpful when making this big decision.
STEP 6: You will probably have to try on more than a few dresses before you find the one that you love. Don't be discouraged if you don't find "The One" on your first visit.
