2008-07-04 4th of July Celebration in Downtown Historic District Homestead Florida
For Immediate Release: “Living the Dream” Before the fireworks, you are invited to begin your 4th of July celebration by coming downtown to the Homestead Historic District for a wonderful afternoon of live music in Losner Park, free to the public. Homestead Main Street has joined forces with William R. Lora of the Multinational Chamber of Commerce of Florida to present “Living the Dream”, an Independence Day celebration for the whole family. The public is invited to come to Losner Park on Krome Avenue between Mowry and NW 2nd Street on Friday, July 4th from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and hear the exciting sounds of Salsa, Cumbia, Punta, Merengue, Bachata and Mexican music, all performed by an incredible array of artists, Angel Francisco “El Jefe”& Conjunto Expresion, Grupo Mangu, Anthony Cepeda, Defensores Del Amor, and Richie Cepeda. Eddy and the Fire Brigade, and fabulous DJ’s.. Krome Avenue will be closed between Mowry and NW 2nd Avenue (two blocks) so come down and dance in the street, sample a variety of food from popular vendors and enjoy a stroll around our historic district that is now on the National Registry of Historic Places. Our shops will be open to welcome you. We look forward to sharing this traditional national holiday with Homestead’s growing community.
