Five Questions with Rita Ora

Five Questions with Rita Ora

Nothing is slowing down Rita Ora these days. She is gearing up to release her follow-up album to 2012's Ora, and recently released her new single "I Will Never Let You Down." The new music continues with her appearance on Iggy Azalea's new album with their collab "Black Widow."

The singer may be busy on the music front, but she's also been busy in the movie world. She will be appearing in the upcoming 50 Shades of Grey movie as Mia Grey.

1. Tell us about your upcoming album? Are there any collaborations you're really excited about?

Yeah. The follow up comes out literally September. Tour starts in July in the States. It's a great excitement for me 'cause I've never released an album here before, so it's like a whole other world. I'm happy to check it all out the States and just kind of have fun and meet different personalities. And it's like London, it's a mixed cultural country, and it's incredible to just be a part of it.

This album for me was about being a work of art and a body work of music that I've really loved and a connection that I want to have with my fans. So it's not about collaborators for me. It was about the producers and about the writers and the songs. Like, you know, DJ Mustard's on there, Diplo's on there, it was about the music. Calvin Harris is on there. It was definitely an opportunity for me to make something greater.

2. Speaking of Calvin Harris, was he jealous when you ripped off Zac Efron's shirt at the MTV Movie Awards?

Calvin was like, "Good on you, babe." I like that about a confident man. A very secure, confident man. You know, that shouldn't bother you. It was something fun. It was like, if he had to offer best boob scene, he'd have to talk about boobs. I'm not going to be like, "I cannot believe you spoke about..." you know. It was just in good fun.

Five Questions with Rita Ora

3. What is your favorite British slang word or phrase?

My best British phrase would be, "are you taking the piss?" Like, "are you having a laugh," like "are you kidding."

4. What is your favorite thing to wear?

Favorite thing to wear would probably be just clothes. I mean, I don't have a specific designer. It's never fair to seclude yourself from designers, but I'm a fan of just great work, and detail. I love wearing things that make you feel sexy. And I love emphasizing my boobs and bum, you know, I'm all about that.

5. Where do you go when you're crunched for time and you need an outfit for a night out?

In London, we've got a place called Joseph that I would usually go to. But, you know, out here, you have Zara. 'Cause that's always, that's like regardless, you'll find something. Like, whether it's a suit, whether it's ... you know, you'll always find something in there.

BONUS: iHeartRadio's Paul The Web Guy asked Rita about her 50 Shades of Grey movie role and she said, "It's amazing, it's exciting. It was good, like another world. It was like a big rehearsal for me to remember how to speak without looking at paper!"
