Lorde's parents are engaged for the first time

On Tuesday, Lorde took to Twitter to announce that her parents, after 30 years and 4 kids, are finally engaged!

Her father proposed to her "mum" at the beautiful Niagara Falls.

 

The 17-year-old was thrilled (made evident with her emojis) about the news, and even hilarious about it all. She made fun of her song, "Royals," on Twitter by writing, "inevitable response yes i know i have seen a diamond now."
