In the beginning... there was the word and the word was POSTROCKALYPSE. Over time the letters were scattered to the four winds and all knowledge of POSTROCKALYPSE passed from existence. Periodically, bits and pieces of POSTROCKALYPSE would show up in such things as ART and ROCK, but the full scope of postrockalyptic enlightenment never surfaced in full. Tiny flashes of POSTROCKALYPSE were felt in the years 1974, 1984, and 1994, but these were fleeting and hard to pinpoint. The revelation finally came in the year of 2004. Deep in caves of ice, the prophet began to transcribe the visions almost as quickly as they channeled through him. Aggregate analysis of these artifacts resulted in a word, a name, a place: not Xanadu, but POSTROCKALYPSE. The ten year cycle is complete and a world of darkness is now ready to be illuminated. The infrastructure has been
established so that the wonders of discovery will never again extinguish from the universe. This is not rock. This is not merely post rock. This is POSTROCKALYPSE. No attempts will be made to satisfy superfluous standards. Tim DeMattio Tim DeMattio is the multi-talented creator of postrockalyptic musical, visual, and conceptual artworks. Fuzzy and fun-loving, triumphantly tragic, he perches in his laboratory and churns out all manner of multimedia concoctions. Becoming lost in this labyrinth of light & language will reveal and appeal to an appreciation for postmodern polymathic paranoia.
