Depending upon whether you want the entire bridal party to ride in style, or if you want some quiet time with your sweetie, you need to determine how many limos you need. You also might want to consider a limo for the parents.
The bride can take the limo from her house to the ceremony, then you can hop in and ride along after the wedding on the way to the reception. Members of your bridal party may also ride unless you two would like a little alone time ...
First, determine the style and color you would like. Then agree upon the number of people it needs to seat and the time you'll need it. Then ask for recommendations from friends or hit the yellow pages to find the best deals. If the tip is not included in your contractual fee, it is customary to tip the driver 15 percent of the total bill. 
Alternatives to the limo:
- A horse-drawn carriage
- A trolley car
- Borrow a nice car from a friend or family member
- Rent a fancy sports car or luxury automobile and have a friend chauffeur
- Drive your own car
Remember, your groomsmen will probably want to "decorate" the getaway car for you so be prepared. Make sure there isn't an extra fee for clean-up or penalties from the rental dealer.
