How Much Time to Allow for Formals?
My rule of thumb is to allow 5 minutes per picture.
Of course not all of the pictures will take that long, but you have to keep in mind that some shots take longer to arrange and you may have a flower girl or ring bearer who won't want to smile! I also recommend to my brides that they designate a person from each family who will be able to gather people for each shot. That way things stay much more organized and your formal portraits will be over in a flash!
